In Detail: Flex Digital Print (with Pics)

We're excited to introduce Flex Digital Print, a new printing method exclusive to NeatoPOD!

Flex is a flexible film transfer-based full color printing method that produce smooth surface prints with vibrant colors, with unmatched wash durability on a wide range of garments. Unlike DTG, which can only be printed on cotton fabric, Flex can be used to print on practically all kinds of garments.

Special Considerations for Flex

All printing methods have limitations, and Flex is no exception. Below are some considerations that you'd need to take into account when printing with Flex:

  • Flex can print lines as fine as 1 mm (0.05 in) wide but it's best to avoid them in your design.

  • Avoid soft edges or transparent gradient (such as fades, drop shadows, glows, and smoke effects).

  • Use 100% opacity in your design as semi-transparent areas can create dull colors.

  • Like any printing method, a large solid block of ink printed with Flex can feel heavy. Flex is particularly good at printing images with a lot of negative spaces in the design.
